Excitement from Market

November 8, 2016

Happy Fall Y'all!

We are feeling the crisp air and holiday cheer, and a bit of a "high" as well (and no, not from any substance).

It's been over a week since our return from High Point Market in High Point, North Carolina.

If you unfamiliar with High Point, it is the place to go, twice a year, for the fashion forward on furniture, interior design, textiles and decor. It's like "fashion week" for home furnishings.  Drawing over 75,000 people bi-annually, it is where you will find serious buyers because if you can't find it at High Point, it probably doesn't exist.

Here are some staggering facts about the Market: it consists of 80 buildings,11.5 million square feet of show space, more than 2000 exhibitors, tens of thousands of new product introductions and 100+ countries are represented. Whew! We are worn out just telling you about it!

Now for the Good Stuff .... Joanna Gaines' New Product Introductions!

(As a side note, Joanna’s face was EVERYWHERE at Market! She’s a pretty big deal in this industry!)

Magnolia Home is pleased to announce more than 250 new and distinctive designs by Joanna. These bedroom, dining, occasional tables, accents and upholstery pieces will be added to the already adored styles of Boho, Industrial, Farmhouse, French Inspired, Primitive, Traditional and Modern.

In addition to the already popular genres, Joanna's brilliant Architectural genre was unveiled at Market in the Magnolia Home Furniture Showroom, and we fell In LOVE!

Architectural embraces deconstructed styling elements, such as nailhead accents, burlap fabrics, visible wooden framework and warm wood finishes. We believe this Architectural line will be a great compliment to almost any home decor.

Magnolia Kids' revealed several fresh additions to the line that are designed with purpose to create meaningful spaces where your kids can imagine, create and grow.

The Magnolia Home Accessories line has many new introductions as well. Joanna has chosen these pieces that will add character to your home with their vintage feel that will complete any room. She also revealed her new line of rugs, throws and pillows designed by her and crafted by Loloi, an award winning, prestigious rug manufacturer in Texas.

Wallcoverings are in the mix as well. Joanna collaborated with York Wallcoverings to bring us beautifully designed wall paper designed by her.

Some more exciting news....(I know, we can hardly handle all of this!!!)...... Season 4 of Fixer Upper will soon be out AND Joanna will actually be using some of her pieces to decorate the beautiful homes they construct.

Magnolia Home Furniture by Joanna Gaines designed in Waco, TX provides an eclectic blend of styles, textures, finishes and colors. All designs focus on being comfortable, family friendly, and very livable home furnishings.

We are SO pleased that these products are now available at our store, here in Santa Margarita. Stop by and see us or browse the website and call or email to place your order.

While in North Carolina for our High Point Shopping experience, we were able to squeeze in a few local attractions. One being the Biltmore Estate, what a magnificent home! We had the full tour, free wine tasting and a wonderful meal on the grounds.

Another great experience was being able to see our long time friends, Dr. David & Jennifer Jones. Both taught in our home town school district over 15 years ago and now live in North Carolina. David is a distinguished professor at North Carolina State where he has developed the fastest growing major on campus, Agriculture Science, with a focus on Leadership Development. Jennifer, long time Elementary Teacher, has hung up the hat teaching children and now has her own business, Hello Literacy. This, along with her very popular Teacher Pay Teachers product site (where she makes and sells literacy products), Jenn travels all over the country speaking and training teachers in 21st Century Literacy and Professional Development. What a treat is was having dinner with them!

Whew! Thanks for following along on our journey! We had so much to share and we know you're as excited about Joanna's new items as we are!

That's a wrap!
